Taking A Line For A Walk

25 September, 2019 @ 11:00 am 3:00 pm

The landscape offers so much more than just a view. As part of the Eastbourne & Lewes Walking Festival, walkers are invited to walk, talk and draw their way across the Downs, sharing stories, experiences and the views and recording all of those things through a variety of experimental drawings, photographs and notes. This experience will culminate in the production of a postcard containing both text and image.

This event is led by Phil Tyler, artist, author and educator. Phil is interested in the relationship between the materiality of painting and it’s potential to create illusionary space. Under his guidance participants will draw their response to the environment as they walk to and from the Neolithic settlement at Butts Brow
