Starting at Jacky’s artist studio in Glynde, there will be a mix of walking through the picturesque South Downs village, past our blacksmith, and up through the hills to the top of Mount Caburn. Views across the South Downs and out to sea throughout.
We will be paying particular attention to colours, textures and sound. A small sketch book and pencil will be provided.
Approximate Distance: 2 miles
Starting Point: Glynde Gardens, The Street, Glynde, BN8 6SX Directly opposite Glynde church
Finishing Point: Same as starting point
Walk Grading: Moderate – Up to 5 miles and may have stretches of steep ascent/descent
Maximum number of walkers: 20
This walk will cost £5 per person and will be payable to your walk leader upon arrival
Free parking is available at the local cricket pitch in the centre of the village. About a 10 minute walk. There are a small number of spaces outside Jacky’s studio on the road, also free.
Glynde railway station is a 10 minute walk from Jacky’s studio. Direct trains from Lewes, Eastbourne, Brighton and London.
There is a café on route

Walkers are advised to bring a packed lunch and drinking water.
