Bronze Age Heritage of Shinewater Park

Guided walk and talk on the Bronze Age Heritage of Shinewater Park. 
Walk Leader: Chris Greatorex, Archaeological Officer, East Sussex County Council
Route: Paved (but sometimes uneven) pathway Around Shinewater Park and Lakes
Estimated walk time: 1.5 hours

In addition to the guided heritage walk there will be a family picnic and activities taking place in Shinewater Park; forest school session, games and trails, eco crafts and foraging, Dance and singing performances from local groups, Thai Chi/ yoga taster sessions. Refreshments will be available in the park, and an accessible portaloo will be provided.

Approximate Distance: 2 Miles

Starting Point: Shinewater Park Entrance, 76 Larkspur Drive, Eastbourne, BN23 8BS

Finishing Point: Same as starting point

Walk Grading: Easy – Less than 2 miles with no steep ascent/descent

Maximum number of walkers: 50

Some parking is available on the surrounding streets

Bus routes 1 & 1A (bus stop Foxglove Road)

There is no cafe on route

Suitable for Wheelchair users

Suitable for Pushchairs

Dogs are allowed on leads

Family Friendly

There will be an accessible porta-loo provided

Walkers should bring a packed lunch and drinking water
