Welcome to our Walk Fest site, the hub for walking in the Eastbourne and Lewes areas.

This is a place to discover new walks, add some of your own favourite strolls or to find walking groups in your local community. To get things going we’ve set up a series of walks, a festival that will run for nine days from Saturday 22 September through to Sunday 30 September, a springboard to a year round ongoing promotion of walking activities across the areas. This is an event for all ages that will encourage people to take a good walk on a regular basis, be it to improve their health and wellbeing or simply to learn new things and make friends.

Choose from a selection of the most interesting urban and rural walks from Lewes town to Cuckmere Haven. From historic Lewes town to our iconic cliffs in Seaford and Eastbourne through to the River Ouse, we invite you to find out more about the culture, history, and landscapes of one of the country’s most stunning regions. This is also a great opportunity for you to meet other walkers and find out more about the community walking groups in your area.

If you have a walk you’d like to submit to the festival, drop us a line – we’d love to hear about the walks you enjoy SUBMIT HERE

We hope that you enjoy this programme of walk events.  Please note, that all of our walk leaders are volunteers and everyone taking part in any of these walks does so at their own risk.  Participants are responsible for assessing their own risk, ability and safety. They are responsible for wearing appropriate footwear, waterproofs, drinking water and other equipment as needed.

While every effort is made to adhere to the details specified in the walk description, there may be the occasional last minute changes and walks may be cancelled at last minute due to the weather or ill health.  Please do book your walk in advance and let the walk leader know if you have to cancel.
